Network Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Conduct remote and onsite diagnostics to troubleshoot computer and network related problems. Able to work as part of a team or independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
· Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
· Set up equipment and ensure proper installation of all materials.
· Modify, optimize and customize settings and programs to meet end user needs.
· Consult with users to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
· Examine performance of existing technology and if necessary make appropriate recommendations for maintenance, upgrades, or replacement.
· Provide training support to users for specific hardware, software, peripherals and other related equipment as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· 5+ years professional experience providing computer network support.
· Qualified and proficient in current MS Windows Client & Server version environments, as well as MS Office applications.
· Experienced with LAN & VPN setup, network security administration, data backup/management best practices, virus removal and protection, firewall and router configuration, and peripheral interfacing (printers, scanners, smart phones, etc.).
· Preferred Certifications a plus: A+ , Network+, MCP, MCSE, MCTS, MCITP & CCNA.
· Associates degree (or equivalent) in business or technology related field preferred.
· Strong passion for staying up to date with current IT standards and technologies.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to efficiently identify the root cause of an issue and resolve.
· Must be able to work well on a team and be a self-starter,
- Clean driving record, able to pass a background check.
