San Luis Obispo, CA - After a year of significant growth, San
Luis Obispo-based computer and Internet solutions firm, TechXpress,
will be opening a second office in Santa Maria on December 1, 2003.
The office will be located at 212 W. Carmen Lane, Suite 102.
The new location will initially be a satellite office under the
wing of the main TechXpress office in San Luis Obispo. It will function
as a convenient hub for customers in the Santa Maria area. Customers
in need of mobile on-site service will enjoy more competitive rates
as well as response time, and those who wish to drop off a computer
for repair or an upgrade will have a shorter drive. The new office
will have its own full-time dispatcher who will manage technicians'
schedules and provide customer support. There will also be a full
inventory of parts in stock for greater speed and efficiency when
performing repairs. TechXpress President Bryan Sarlitt notes that
the decision to expand to Santa Maria came with a recent dramatic
increase in customers from the area.
"We currently have 360 customers that we service in Santa Maria,
and that number is on the rise. The Santa Maria Valley is a vital,
growing business community and we want to be a part of that growth,"
said Sarlitt. "Our new location will be more convenient for our
Santa Maria customers, and cut down on our response time when there
is an urgent need for technical support." Sarlitt also remarked
that the new office will allow TechXpress to expand its service
area to Lompoc and Santa Barbara. Anticipating rapid growth among
Santa Barbara County customers, Sarlitt expects to hire additional
techs over the next 6-12 months who will service the region exclusively.
The Santa Maria TechXpress office will be open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00
p.m., Monday through Friday. On-site tech support, where techs are
dispatched directly to a customer's business or home, will be available
24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Sarlitt says that he plans to become very involved in the Santa
Maria community. This will include participation in the Santa Maria
Valley Chamber of Commerce, as well as expansion of the TechXpress
program, Computers 4 Kids, to the Santa Maria area. The program,
which began in San Luis Obispo this year, provides refurbished computers
for children from low-income households.
The opening of the Santa Maria office comes after a year of many
milestones for TechXpress. In 2003, TechXpress moved its main office
into a significantly larger location, hired several new employees
including a full-time website account manager, and launched its
successful Computers 4 Kids program.
As a young entrepreneur, who started his business from scratch
in 1999, Bryan Sarlitt feels very fortunate.
"We have made every effort to serve the local business community
at the highest level, and area businesses have repaid our efforts
with their trust and support," said Sarlitt. "We feel honored to
have such strong ties with the local community, and hope to build
equally strong relationships with the people of the Santa Maria
Valley."
