Inc. Begins Year with New Sales Manager and New Name
San
Luis Obispo, CA – Local information technology services firm,
TechXpress Inc., recently announced two major business expansions:
the hiring of Sales Account Manager Alan Oden, and a name change
to TechXpress, Inc., reflecting their new incorporated status.
Alan Oden comes to TechXpress, Inc. with 39 years of experience
working in the technology field. The past seven years, he has been
Sales Manager at a local computer company. Prior to that, he worked
at Vandenberg Air Force Base for nine years as an IT specialist
with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics.
Oden will be servicing TechXpress’ current business customers
and generating new accounts. He has a special interest in developing
relationships with larger businesses – a somewhat new market
segment for TechXpress, Inc., whose main client base has been small
to medium-sized businesses.
“Alan’s experience handling government, educational
and large corporate clients will be a tremendous asset to the company,”
said TechXpress, Inc. President/CEO Bryan Sarlitt. “His extensive
technical background will be very useful to our clients in determining
and understanding their technology needs.”
The Sales Account Manager position is a new one. Oden will take
over accounts that were previously handled by Bryan Sarlitt, freeing
up Sarlitt to focus on the company’s increased executive duties.
Sarlitt plans to add additional outside sales staff under Oden’s
management in the near future.
“I’ve watched TechXpress grow over the past several
years and really liked the idea of an all-inclusive, technology
service company,” said Oden. “I look forward to growing
as TechXpress, Inc. grows.”
TechXpress experienced another landmark as it became TechXpress,
Inc. on January 1, 2004. Although Bryan Sarlitt still maintains
100% equity in the company, he plans to seek investors in the near
future.
“Within the next two years, we anticipate our local models
will be complete and ready to begin duplicating on a national level,”
said Sarlitt.
In December of 2003, TechXpress, Inc. opened its second office in
Santa Maria following a year of substantial growth. In 2004, TechXpress,
Inc. celebrates five years in business. Having started in 1999 as
a small, primarily one-person operation, TechXpress, Inc. now has
18 employees and serves over 3,000 businesses and individuals in
San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties.
