TechXpress Partners with Cal Poly’s El Corral Bookstore

San Luis Obispo, CA -- Local information technology services firm, TechXpress, Inc. has announced a new partnership with Cal Poly’s El Corral Bookstore. TechXpress will be offering computer service and support through El Corral, with a special discounted pricing structure for Cal Poly students. The bookstore was recently forced to discontinue its own in-house computer service due to budgetary reasons.

“We’re very excited about the opportunity to conveniently support roughly 18,000 Cal Poly students in partnership with the El Corral Bookstore.” said TechXpress President/CEO Bryan Sarlitt. “With our student discount rates, and strategic marketing plan, we expect a large percentage of Cal Poly computer users to utilize this new service.”

El Corral Computer Department Manager Preston Sirois also expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership. “We’re very pleased about working with TechXpress and feel this will be a great benefit to the campus community,” said Preston.

TechXpress will service all desktop and notebook PCs (not Macs), peripherals and equipment. Drop-off hours at El Corral are Monday through Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Once a student drops off a computer, TechXpress will pick it up within 24 hours and take it to their San Luis Obispo service center. TechXpress will contact the student when the computer is ready to pick up from the service center, or if it requires work that exceeds the standard cost of $55.

Students also receive a discount on on-site service, where a TechXpress technician comes to a customer’s home or office. On-site service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and ensures a quicker guaranteed response time. An additional one-time travel charge will apply depending on the location of the computer needing service. To request on-site service students should call (805) 782-TECH (8324).

TechXpress will also make a $5 donation to Cal Poly for every computer serviced through El Corral, and for every on-site call that is referred to TechXpress by the bookstore.
