TechXpress, Inc. Acquires Somnio World Web Solutions

San Luis Obispo, CA -- Local information technology services firm, TechXpress, Inc., recently acquired local Website development company, Somnio World Web Solutions. Somnio World is a website design, software development, web hosting and e-commerce solutions firm located in San Luis Obispo.

Through the sale, TechXpress will retain all of Somnio World’s assets including its customers, products and name, however not it’s location or employees. Somnio World’s customer list consists of approximately 40 small and medium-sized businesses located mostly on the Central Coast, with a few companies in Fresno County and out of state. The customers brought Somnio World approximately $150,000 in revenue for 2003, a figure which is projected to grow 100-125% per annum over the next 3-5 years. Because Somnio World will now offer its customers a much broader range of services through TechXpress, this amount is expected to increase even more dramatically. Among the clients acquired by TechXpress are Cuesta Title, McCarthy Wholesale and Supplement Direct.

The Somnio World acquisition will also allow TechXpress to offer its existing customers more advanced web products and services. TechXpress has acquired proprietary software, developed by Somnio World, which company representatives say are turnkey web solutions that can save their customers both time and money. “Through this new user-friendly software we’ve acquired, businesses can now truly manage their own websites in real time without depending on an outside vendor,” said TechXpress, Inc. President/CEO Bryan Sarlitt.

Sarlitt also notes that the purchase of Somnio will push TechXpress’ growth far ahead of their original projected timeline. “This is a huge leap forward for the company,” said Sarlitt. “I anticipate that our website business will continue to flourish and facilitate our expansion into neighboring markets, as well as an increase of our local market share.” Sarlitt notes that the company plans to expand into Santa Barbara, Monterey and Fresno Counties over the next three to five years.
Sarlitt also says that former Somnio customers will benefit from TechXpress’ more comprehensive service and product offering.
