New Frontiers to Donate 5% Profits to Computers 4 Kids 4/14/04

San Luis Obispo, CA -- New Frontiers Market, located at 896 Foothill Blvd. in San Luis Obispo, will be donating 5% of their profits on Wednesday, April 14 2004 to local charity, Computers 4 Kids. Computers 4 Kids organizers encourage area residents to patronize New Frontiers.

“We are grateful for the generosity of New Frontiers in supporting local charities in this way,” said Bryan Sarlitt, President/CEO of TechXpress, Inc., which oversees Computers 4 Kids. “We hope the public will support community-minded businesses like New Frontiers.”

As part of the Computers 4 Kids program, TechXpress and the SLO County YMCA collected and refurbished nearly 100 used computers in the summer of 2003. The computers were then donated to children from low-income families in the San Luis Coastal Unified School District last October. In 2004, organizers plan to expand the program to the Santa Maria area. Collection of used computers is set to begin in July.

“We look forward to serving more children this year,” said Sarlitt. “So hold on to those used computers and look for collection guidelines which will be released soon,” said Sarlitt.
