San Luis Obispo, CA -- The City of Pismo Beach has awarded San Luis Obispo information technology (IT) firm, TechXpress, Inc., a one-year managed services contract to handle technical support services for the city’s computer network system. The contract will cover IT services for all city departments including City Hall, Police, Fire, Water, and Recreation.
“As it seems we are likely - in today’s and especially tomorrow’s world - to become increasing reliant on computer systems to get our work done, and to communicate with others, it becomes increasingly important that our systems dependably provide high performance, and within our tightening fiscal budget. TechXpress’ NetGuard solution has provided us the means to do so,” said George Edes, City of Pismo Beach Administrative Services Director.
TechXpress will be overseeing the city’s computer network onsite and remotely, by means of their NetGuard Managed IT Services. The city’s service package includes 24/7 monitoring and maintenance; data protection and security management; user help desk support; strategy consulting and planning; and wholesale discounts on hardware and software.
“Our new all inclusive fixed monthly management fee model is proactive and well received, as opposed to the old ‘break-and-fix’ mode of tech support,” said TechXpress Founder/CEO Bryan Sarlitt. “Our advanced monitoring system allows us to detect, fix and report problems before they escalate into downtime or data loss.”
In addition to handling all aspects of IT support, TechXpress will provide City of Pismo Beach employees with free training classes on a variety of Windows-based software programs at the TechXpress Training Center in San Luis Obispo. The training program is designed to improve user competency and proficiencies in the workplace.
