According to the local BBB website, santabarbara.bbb.org, AAA is exemplary rating. "This means that nothing in our files causes us to have any doubt about the company's reliability," the site states. Ratings are determined by a composite score of such factors as type of business, length of time in business, compliance with competency licensing requirements, complaint volume, complaint history, seriousness of complaints, how the company responds to complaints, and the BBB's experience with the company's industry in general. Possible ratings range from AAA to F.
"The BBB has issued business reliability reports on over 22,204 companies in the Tri-County area and only about 11% of those businesses have been able to obtain this rating," said Rick Copelan, President of the Tri-Counties BBB. "We encourage local consumers to check on companies that they are considering doing business with at www.sanluisobispo.bbb.org."
